We all love getting the family and friends together on Super Bowl weekend. But let’s face it, it’s actually not about watching grown men tackle each other, or the crazy commercials or even Katy Perry performing with Left Shark at halftime – it’s all about the food.

From chips, dips and more – according to studies, Americans consume around 1.25 billion chicken wings over Super Bowl weekend, and almost 30 million people will order pizza.

So what’ll be on your menu come game day? The same old snacks or is it time to put on a better performance and impress your fans, erm, friends.

Why not take a knee on chicken wings and pizza and try something different - like hot dogs!

Now you might associate the mighty dog with baseball, but it’s as American as, well, Super Bowl Sunday.

The earliest example of putting a wiener on a bun with relish dates back to 1860s New York. According to legend, Charles Feltman opened up the first hot dog stand in 1897 in Brooklyn, selling a round 3 700 sausages in the first year.

We’ve decided to put a modern spin on the legendary grub and drafted the power players in the world of hot dogs to battle it out for glory.

Here are Eight Great Dogs with amazing toppings and garnish to help you put together a winning treat for your Super Bowl get-together.
